Tony Award nominee Patrick Stewart will be returning to The Great White Way this Fall in David Mamet’s A Life In The Theatre. Best known for his work on television’s Star Trek: The Next Generation, Stewart’s Broadway credits include roles in The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, A Christmas Carol and Macbeth. The latter earned him his Tony Award nomination.
A Life In The Theatre focuses on the relationship between two actors, the play’s only characters. One, Robert (to be played by Stewart), is a stage veteran whilst John is a young, promising actor. As the play goes on they are involved in a variety of productions, and gradually their relationship begins to change.
At this writing, no theatre or opening date has been announced. But you can be sure we’ll have it for you here when that information becomes available.
